The latest offering of Sony Pictures Television, Amazon Studios, and Atomic Monster Productions “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (2021) reboot was released this past Friday, where secrets were revealed before the mystery killer claimed the lives of two more victims.
The Past Comes Back With a Vengeance
Amazon Prime has released the sixth episode of Sara Goodman’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, based on the Lois Duncan novel and later movie adaption. “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (2021) centers on Alison Grant (Madison Iseman), as she and others in her hometown of Oahu, Hawaii are stalked by a figure from their past.
I Know What You Did Last Summer was written by Lois Duncan and released in August of 1972. The first “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movie production starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillipe and made over 15 million its opening weekend, holding onto the number one spot for the following two weeks, culminating with over 72 million at the US and Canadian Box Office, and 53 million in other countries bringing it to a total 126 million on a 17 million dollar budget. The film spawned two sequels, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (2000), and I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006), bringing the franchise total to .
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021) will release the final two episodes of the first season over the next two Friday’s.
